AI at work: what does my occupation need?
AI competence runs transversally through all six competence areas of the Digital Competence Model for Austria – DigComp 3.0 AT(opens in new tab) (Domany-Funtan et al., 2026). Learning outcomes are labelled AI-explicit [AI-E] when they directly address AI, and AI-implicit [AI-I] when AI is part of the underlying practice. Select an occupation to see which AI competences it may require.
Not all learning outcomes need apply to the actual practice of the occupation, as they are drawn generically from the underlying competence model and not verified on an occupation-specific basis. The mapping nonetheless offers a good orientation as to which AI-related competences may be relevant for the occupation in question, based on the learning outcomes.
